I&#8217;ve created a comparison that takes a slice of the 45th anniversary edition and compares it with the new edition.<\/p>\n<p>The most obvious change is the grain is back ! The animated sequences appear to have had some clean-up, but it&#8217;s hard to tell across youTube.<\/p>\n<p>Some colors appear a bit cooler, but I&#8217;m not calling &#8216;Orange-and-Teal&#8217; just yet. The most troubling image I&#8217;ve seen is the nursery scene (&#8216;Practically perfect in every way&#8217;). The curtains have definitely lurched towards teal, while the wall paper seems a bit orange, and contrast has been boosted somewhat.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_701\" style=\"width: 266px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/notonbluray.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/Mary-Poppins-Side-by-side-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-701\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-701\" alt=\"Comparing Mary Poppins Blu-ray with previous releases\" src=\"http:\/\/notonbluray.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/Mary-Poppins-Side-by-side-2-256x300.jpg\" width=\"256\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/notonbluray.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/Mary-Poppins-Side-by-side-2-256x300.jpg 256w, https:\/\/notonbluray.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/Mary-Poppins-Side-by-side-2-873x1024.jpg 873w, https:\/\/notonbluray.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/Mary-Poppins-Side-by-side-2-624x731.jpg 624w, https:\/\/notonbluray.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/Mary-Poppins-Side-by-side-2.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 256px) 100vw, 256px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-701\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">50th Blu-ray on top. 45th iTunes underneath. Hints of orange and teal ?<\/p><\/div>\n<p>I&#8217;m optimistic this will correct some of the earlier versions mistakes, but there could be an orange-and-teal sting in the tail.
